The American Waltham Watch Company initially produced the Boston 447's remarkable pocket watch in Waltham, Massachusetts, 1908 — the same year that President Theodore Roosevelt held the Conference of Governors in the White House. The event was also the start of the annual governors' conferences in the United States.
